Sindhanai Sirpigal(SSL) is a registered public charitable trust( Regd No: 1176/B144 dated Oct'20 2001) in Tamilnadu, India working towards assisting all Indians to get a Quality Life. SSL was established on Nov '2000 to increase literacy, awareness about personal / social issues and employment opportunities in villages around Coimbatore district.

Our president Dr. Abdul kalam gave us the vision of transforming India into a "Developed Country". 70% of our country comprise of villages. To be a part of the "Developed Country" vision, we've set our mission as transforming 10 typical villages of Vavipalayam panchayat as "Role Model Villages" for a developed country.

The founder of SSL Mr.Sundaramoorthy(33) hails from Vavipalayam village, a village near Palladam which comes under Coimbatore district. By the inspiration of Sundaramoorthy and his team of youths, a software engineer, the current president of SSL Mr.Senthil Kumar Arumugam(26) joined in the mission of "Role Model villages" along with his colleague software engineers.

Ofcourse rural development by a Public Charitable Trust is not a new mission. It is there in the country for a long time. But the uniqueness in our mission is the use of technology , Integrated work between the Government and a Public charitable trust. Yes, Mrs. Sudha Sundaramoorthy is the president(2001-2006) of vavipalayam panchayat. She won the panchayat president post as an independent candidate. SSL provides technology, funding and strategy to the panchayat for the effective implementation of Government schemes by the panchayat president.

There are 100+ members in the team and out of which 60 members are financially contributing to SSL. The monthly contribution varies from 3% of their salary to a random amount from Rs.50-Rs.500. Most of the members are youths, particularly software engineers and youths from villages.
